What causes laptop Screen damage?
Laptop LCD’s are generally damaged from drops or objects landing on them and cracking. You may see what looks like ink blotches on the screen. This is where some layers break and the liquid leaks through.
How do we repair laptop screens?
The first thing we do is test the laptop to make sure it is only the LCD that is cracked and not a problem with the GPU or flex cable.
We then proceed to strip the laptop down so we can remove the old screen. We clean as we go to get rid of any dust or dirt that may have got into the casing.
A new screen is installed and checked to make sure it is working well.
We then build the laptop back up and send it down to our test bench where further tests are carried out.
