What causes a PS5 Broken Fan fault?
The fan can stop functioning or become broken for a couple of reasons. If the PS5 has received a knock or accidental damage, the fan may need to be completely replaced.
Sometimes, faults with the fan can develop due to liquid damage. This can cause the circuitry for the fan to malfunction and, in turn, prevent the fan from functioning correctly.
A large build-up of dust, grit or dirt can cause physical damage to the fan. These materials can build-up in the fan and damage the blades resulting in malfunctioning or broken fans.
Although rare, this can happen due to mechanical failure. As with all technology with moving parts, the fan in the Playstation 5 may fault seemingly without cause.
